Spacing:Â 3-4′ for hedges, 7’+ for space between plants
Growing 4 to 5 feet tall and 3 to 4 foot wide, Mount Airy Fothergilla is ideal for use as a specimen or in groupings in landscape, flowering shrub and woodland borders, and in home foundation plantings. Especially nice near the garden pond or other bodies of water and a fine addition to North American native plant gardens.
Suggested Spacing:Â 4 feet apart for solid borders;Â 8 feet apart for space between plants
Mount Airy Fothergilla is very easy to grow and virtually maintenance free when planted right and in the right spot. It prefers a moist but well-drained acidic soil of average to high fertility and sun or part shade.
